My photography journey started…

Back in college when I took my first photography class. Fun fact my first camera was an AE-1 Canon film camera. I loved shooting and then doing the dark room process! Later on I got in digital camera’s and purchased a Nikon D5600. I fell in love with my Nikon because I could shoot and make adjusts on the spot! To give you a little background I graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Graphic Design. So for my electives I enrolled in photography classes. In these classes I was introduced to Photoshop and Camera RAW which was amazing to me.

Once I graduated I took all the skills learned and started doing landscape photography. I also did some photography for my friend who owns a taco shop. I did this for five years until my friend Ethan took me to my first photo meet up in 2017. It was hosted by Portrait Culture, they were so welcoming and I had so much fun! I went to 6 or 7 of their photo meet ups then I started networking and doing my own shoots. I made friends that I still have till this day. I have learned from a lot of amazing photographers and went through a lot of ups and downs with my editing style. I also upgraded my camera Canon 60D during this time. I actually took a hiatus from photography to focus on my financial business helping families with their finances and retirement.

There is a method to the so called madness. My dream in the future is to use my successful financial business to start my own photography company. This has been a dream of mine for a long time. Now it’s time to turn my dream into my #1 goal and make it a reality.
